An outline of the outcomes of innovation in technology

There are countless effects that occur as a result of innovation in technology and these are only 3.

The progress in things like wireless tech have also allowed the progress of computer technology. Without the invention of wireless internet, the functionality of laptops would be very limited. As there has been such great innovation in this sector however, it means other businesses can feed off that and further innovate themselves. Laptops have become way more popular for personal use, and this has been possible because of the innovations in the communications sector. It is also true however that; had laptops or phones not been invented, then less people would require Wi-Fi, so the need for invention in separate, yet complimentary sectors, is evident. Without the progress made by computer and telephone companies, then there may not have been the breakthrough of many network suppliers. Virgin Media shareholders, for example, have profited from the wide usage of laptops and mobiles in both homes and businesses.

Almost any business has examples of invention and this post will show three examples of this. In the telecoms marketplace there have been numerous improvements ever since the very first phone was made. Quite possibly the greatest innovative idea that was made in telephones was the development of the mobile phone. By enabling customers access a handheld phone, they instantly increase the amount of telephones people, or households at least, own and utilize. By increasing the number of items available, it of course boosts revenues earned. This example of innovation has allowed the likes of the Telecom Italia top shareholders, to maximise their returns as a result of the increases in revenue. Markets in which there is lots of room for innovation will get the greatest investment, as innovation is one of the fastest ways to enhance market value. This is part of the reason why the tech industry has flourished so quickly and so widely.

Advancements in the internet and internet service have been regular since it became widely offered in the 80’s and 90’s. A good example of innovation in technology was the creation of wireless connections. Wireless connections are much less difficult to use than the dial up connections that were needed in the 90’s. For internet providers to succeed they have needed to adjust to the introduction of wireless internet, and to do this they have had to provide matching if not better services than their competition. The nature of this field means that the supplier with the greatest service will usually succeed and receive the most customers, there is very little actual items provided, so services should be their primary focus. It is impressive how the BT owners have kept the company at the forefront of telecom supply and internet service, and the majority of that is down to innovating and adapting to the shifting market place.
